IT Administrator & System Test Engineer (m/f/d)
Combine IT administration with application testing and help ensure our systems, test environments, and software solutions run reliably and efficiently.
Would you like to manage IT systems while actively contributing to the quality of innovative software solutions?
In this versatile role, you’ll spend about half your time working as an IT systems administrator and the other half as an application and test engineer. You’ll ensure a stable IT infrastructure, set up test environments, conduct structured application tests, and assist with the automation of installation and testing processes.
You’ll be part of our IT and Product Development team.
Your Responsibilities
IT Administration (approx. 50 %)
Maintenance and further development of the internal IT infrastructure and central IT processes
Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux and Windows systems
Planning, procurement, and implementation of hardware and software solutions
Management of user accounts, access rights, and IT resources
Analyzing and resolving issues, as well as continuously optimizing the system landscape
Serving as the point of contact for employees regarding IT questions and technical challenges
Assisting with the implementation of IT security measures and the protection of networks and systems
Documenting and standardizing IT processes, as well as automating recurring tasks
Application & Test Engineering (approx. 50 %)
Setting up and maintaining test systems for new product developments
Installing and configuring operating systems and application environments
Conducting structured software and system tests
Creating, maintaining, and documenting test cases and test results
Assisting with the development and validation of installation processes
Automation of setup, deployment, and configuration tasks using scripts
Close collaboration with software development and product management on error analysis and quality assurance
What You Bring
Completed technical training (HTL, apprenticeship, technical college, or equivalent) with a focus on IT, computer science, or systems engineering
At least 5 years of experience in IT administration, including experience with PC systems, hardware, and IT infrastructure
You are very familiar with Windows servers; experience with Linux is a plus
You are proficient in Microsoft 365 administration
A structured, meticulous, and independent work style, along with a service-oriented and friendly demeanor, come naturally to you.
You enjoy systematically analyzing and improving technical processes
Good command of German and English
Nice to Have
Experience with virtualization solutions (including VMware)
Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python is a plus
Knowledge of software or system testing
Experience with deployment and imaging solutions
Knowledge of test management, ticketing, or CI/CD systems

The minimum salary under the collective bargaining agreement for this full-time position is €3,954 (IT-KV ST1 pay grade). Depending on your qualifications and professional experience, we offer a competitive salary at the market rate.
